A selection of spoken word, music and sounds from the British Library Sound Archive.

This is a video collection of over 19,000 titles including current TV recordings.
Complete Issues
Articles, statistics, personal accounts and links to websites on a wide range of topics. 
For Complete Issues username and password, click above. You may need to log into Moodle using the button at the top right of the screen and enter your college username and password. Alternatively, ask at the library desk. 

Drama Online
The award-winning Drama Online introduces new writers alongside the most iconic names in playwriting history, providing contextual and critical background through scholarly works and practical guides.

Emerald Insight
Global publisher with a large portfolio of online journals and books.

Gale News, Business and Reference
Access to a large range of online reference materials including journals, newspaper archives and e-books.

Issues Online
The online version of the Donnellan Issues series that includes key facts, statistics and articles on a wide range of topical issues.

National Library of Scotland
A range of databases from the National Library of Scotland. They cover many subject areas and include e-books, newspapers, journals, audio-visual resources and images. You need to register on the website to gain access to the resources.

Very Short Introductions
Expert authors combine facts, analysis, new insights, and enthusiasm to offer concise and original introductions to a wide range of subjects. 

Most of the print books for your course can be found in the Music (shelf mark 780 and above), Performing Arts (790 and above) and Literature (800 and above) sections of the LLC.

Actors and Performers Yearbook 2020 
A guide for actors and anyone working in television, film and theatre.

Contacts 2015
Contains listings for over 5000 companies, services and individuals across all branches of Television, Stage, Film and Radio. After 2015, continued online at Contacts by Spotlight.

All books on performing arts can be found in the LLC catalogue.

The LLC also has a range of ‘English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)’ books, as well as a selection of fiction books.

E-books for performing arts can be found on the catalogue or through our providers E-book Central, VLe Books and E-books for Further Education. Further e-books are available through the 'Useful websites and Open Access resources' section above.

A large collection of Vocal Scores and CD soundtracks from shows are available to borrow on an overnight loan basis.

Journals provide up-to-date information about a subject. In addition to the print titles we hold below we have access to many online titles on Gale News, Business and Reference and Emerald Insight:

A range of academic DVD’s on various subjects, as well as a selection of movies, are available for loan. These may be borrowed for one week and can be requested from other campus LLCs if not available at your own.

Access to the latest news on arts, cinema, drama and literature performances and events, clips and videos of interviews.

Contacts by Spotlight
Contacts allows you to connect with more than 65,000 Spotlight members from the established, to up-and-coming actors and young performers across all areas of the industry, thousands of top agents and the cream of UK casting professionals as well as anyone who is interested in a career in entertainment.

Contemporary Music Score Collection
The Contemporary Music Score Collection is published by the UCLA Music Library. The collection includes the digital, open access scores from the Contemporary Score Edition series, the first open access edition of new music published by a library, and scores from the Kaleidoscope 2020 Call for Scores, an open access collaboration with the UCLA Music Library.

Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Website for the national and international centre for excellence for performing arts education. Provides information on undergraduate, postgraduate and lifelong learning courses based in Glasgow.

Theatre news, reviews, interviews and career information.

All students may borrow up to 6 items for up to 4 weeks. Loan periods may be extended if no one else has requested the items. Renewals can be made in person, by phone, email or via the catalogue. Items can be reserved through our 'Click and Collect' facility on the catalogue.

Multifunctional print devices are available in each campus LLC, for black and white and colour printing, photocopying and scanning to email, and students are provided with print credit automatically at the start of the semester.

Computers in the LLCs can be booked for personal study through the 'Book a PC' link at the very top of this page, or through the 'MyNCL' app.
